Well I thought I was pretty comfortable in Joomla and managing WEB sites with it. Well this process has me shook.
Tried to install JA Teline in our Joomla 1.015 site but it would ont go. Now our site has been through a number of upgrades since Mambo 3.X. So I figured well no time like the present to clena up allot of the crap that has been stuck in the system. Started with a Fresh 1.53 install and followed instructions to install Template. I used migration tools to move users and content from old site over. This all seems to work ok.
However I can not get the layout to look like sample site. I realize I have some work todo in the content areas to move stuff around and I expected this. but my 3 main questions are
1) How to get the allvideo plugin to show as per sample site
2) For some Reason I no longer have a login module. not even listed in extensions
3)how do I change the logo. I have looked at the template html and see the calls but is there a place I should be changing the value of $sitename? do I edit the params.ini file? The site is at http://www.playlikeagirlsports.com
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my Wifes business/web site. What was supposed to be a few hours of changes has turned into 2 days of downtime and I really do not want to spend the weekend sharing the couch with the dog.
May 16, 2008 at 12:47 pm #2493931. read the [url=http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-teline-ii-read-me-userguide/# to “All”
3. That is a CSS change. Go to the template’s CSS file (templates/ja_teline_ii/css/template.css) and make the change at: h1.logo a. The logo file is stored at templates/ja_teline_ii/images/logo.gif. You can simply create a new logo and name it logo.gif and upload it to the same directory of you can upload it somewhere else w/ a different name; but, you will need to change the stylesheet to reflect the changes.
May 16, 2008 at 12:58 pm #2493941) I have gone through the readme file several times. Step by step. I know RTFM is not usualy my strong point but this time I have tried several times. My allvideo puglin is installed and published to USER5. I have included
{auto height="300"
displayheight="235"}playlist.php{/auto}
into the media section. now the playlist.php that “JoomlArt has developed a file call playlist.php to handle the existed videos ” where is that file located or do I create it?2) No filters installed only 8 extensions currently installed and set to display 20 per page
3) Thank you
May 16, 2008 at 1:11 pm #249396The playlist file is stored in root/images/stories/videos/playlist.php.
And you’re positive you’re not filtering the extensions list? Your’s looks like this then:
You should have a lot more than 8 extensions.
May 16, 2008 at 1:36 pm #249398ok I must have an installation issue. I do not have a /images/stories/videos
May 17, 2008 at 2:55 am #249514reinstalled Joomla and all modules. Seem to have most of my problems resolved however I still do not have a /images/stories/video folder
I will manually create if someone can post the sample playlist.php file
