I have installed Purity iii – magazine layout (still on my local host) and I am trying to get my home page very simple: just leading article and featured links on sidebar-2.

My problem is, I just cannot get rid of sub-category articles from Home page. I have tried to customize the menu item but no use. Pls advice?

It would be best if you can put your site online and send me the site url. I will have a closer look. I checked the issue you mentioned on my local, but things work fine.
