January 12, 2013 at 11:04 am #479485Hello,
Did you use JA Brisk – layout Home to show featured article ?
In JA Brisk, layout Home doesn’t show the content, if you want to show the content, please go to Backend >> Extension >> Template Manager >> Click to your default JA Brisk >> Tab Layout and change layout to Default or Content-right/ Left

January 17, 2013 at 1:23 pm #480197Thanks for your reply and sorry for my delay in continuing this dialogue. Regarding this template I have two major problems.
1) I set the template from the backend as you pointed out and even featured items not shown on main page (home).2nd) This particular template in the frontend is very slow in contrast to the rest of the templates or Joomlart or joomla template’s. All is running in localhost .The average time to respond to a link is 15 seconds. Any other template functions normally and the average response time is less than 1 second.
What might be the problem here?
Thank you.

1) I set the template from the backend as you pointed out and even featured items not shown on main page (home).

Please go to in Tab Assignment, is this template assign to all menu, including template, if not, assign to the Menu in Main menu.

You try to set Development to No, and Enable Compress CSS to Yes in tab General to reduce server request. It will make your site load faster.

January 18, 2013 at 2:15 pm #480346Luna thank you very much, your comments are always so useful! The first issue was resolved, the frontend is normal speed now.
Regarding the latter point the problem was on the menu, which is preset to 0 articles, 0 columns, 0 principal and 0 link’s . Everything else had already been tested, since the template was assigned to all menu items.
Thanks
