Hi – just not seeing how I can get a module – say Newsflash – or PayPal plug-in/module — into the main body area of the template – tried all the positions and failing. What is the logic please that I am missing?

The named positions for the Template – such as Top, User 1 . . . are all working fine but no main body area that I can see. Yes I can build a page and get the content into that area, but how to get other content in?

Hi Ganoga, modules can only be published to module positions and the main body area is not a module position, it is the ‘component’ position.

However…. Joomla does come with a ‘loadposition’ plugin which allows you to publish modules inside the component position. You can find full instructions here.
