I am unable to remove/change “Welcome to Front Page” title in the main content block on Homepage of JA Portfolio template. Items from From Page are displayed in this block, i want to change the title to something else

1. How can i change this title?
2. Is there a way to totally remove the main content block from homepage?

Please guide me.

Dear verlesh,

I can try as following for this issue

1) How can i change this title?
This title is set in template language file en-GB.tpl_ja_portfolio.ini

2) Is there a way to totally remove the main content block from homepage?

Just go to the template’s back-end >> PROFILES Tab >> create a new profile (eg: name home), then override for parameter “Hide Main content block” to yes. Then in Global tab, set your homepage to this profile.

I tried what you posted above. The problem I’m running into is that the parameters are grayed out. It will not let me change any of the settings. How do I fix this problem.

Well, I finally figured it out. I didin’t realize you have to check the parameter that you want to edit. That will make it active.
