Is it possible to have an image span the entire width of the page and include elements in the right position?
I want to use a main image running across the width (set at 800 pixels) and beneath this run my text content and on the right ‘news’ modules.
When I allocate the ‘random_image’ at 800 pixels in the ‘content-top’ positioning and place the news in the ‘right’ position it encroaches on the image.
    Thanks

    Hi
    It’s http://www.soars.org.uk/
If I add any ‘right’ position elements it encroaches on the image.
    Thanks

You are correct…you cannot do that without changing the default template.

Shows the current positions of modules. You would need to go into templates/ja_selini/layouts/default.php and set up a new block above the main, left and right blocks.

If you are new to Joomla or the T3 framework…I’d either get an experienced coder to do it for you, or find another template which already includes it.

    Have fun.
    John.
