Looks normal for Nuevo to me except that the Off canvas menu does appear when main disappears.

In my case the navigation bar completely disappears. I do not see any Off Canvas menu.
Note the setting Off Canvas is enabled.

Kindly open template manager > JA Nuevo > Navigation > Collapse navigation for small screen > Enable it.
save and check.
