December 12, 2011 at 6:17 pm #429368How do you want change menu at top/left position? Could you explain more? Could you give me a snapshot with your annotation to illustrate your idea?

December 12, 2011 at 6:34 pm #429374At this moment they are both the same. I attached a screen shot. The menu what is colored yellow has to go. On that place i want an other menu. The left menu has to stay as it is.

December 12, 2011 at 6:43 pm #429377What you need to do is create a NEW menu and assign it as your Main Menu.
OR, a possible even EASIER way to go about it might be . . . .
Keep that left menu (currently your Main Menu) . . . but what I would recommend is copying/duplicating that menu . . . rename it to something unique . . . and then assign it to the left position.
THEN you can simply MODIFY the original Main Menu how you like (i.e. new menu items, links, etc.) without having to create a whole new one.
Just an alternative suggestion.

December 12, 2011 at 7:06 pm #429383Just mention:
Menu item SHOULD NOT COPY AS DUPLICATE. You should create new menu item as “menu alias”.Because duplicate menu item actually give you 2 itemids !!!! That would make you in trouble !

December 12, 2011 at 7:07 pm #429385Ok i did that and now while the menu is not the main menu anymore it keeps placing it at the left and the top.
When i make a new menu it does not place it on the top menu for me.

Why can he not duplicate the menu and then create NEW menu items – which would give him NEW item IDs?
He then would disable/delete the old menu items.Otherwise, he can simply manually duplicate his Main Menu and manually create the menu items he wants for his main navigation – and then make sure it is assigned accordingly as Main Menu
