    Hi,

    please have a look at http://www.actiwork.nl/joomla. As you can see the main menu (top horizontaal menu) is not wide enough for the biggest font that users can choose in the upper right user tools.

    Can you pls advise what to change where in order to get it right?

    thanks!

    Couple of things you can do…but I’d recommend you just turn off the functionality altogether. It’s antiquated technology (browsers now zoom in and out on their own). And while you may fix the issue with the MENU, it will cause other issues in other areas.

    For instance blowing up the letters in the menu also blows up the letters just below it in the headline “Welkom op de website van ActiWork”…and when large, those letters also go over the little designs to the left and right of it. And I’m assuming you don’t want that either…so then you have to adjust the size of those images…and it goes on and on. Believe me, I’m a recovering victim. 🙂

    As for what you can do:

    1) You can increase the size of the menu area…so that when the words drop down its not as offending.
    template.css line 837 – add:
    height: 75px;
    and adjust to taste.

    2) In the template administrator you can set the “default” size of your font to large. That way it won’t break your menu. But you are starting out LARGE

    But again, I would HIGHLY encourage you to just turn the old guy off and save yourself a LOT of trouble down the line.

    Have fun.
    John.
