Just started working on our new site and I’ve already encountered a few problems.
I’ve created a menu for to link to JomSocial, but the menu will not display “Description” or the sublinks on the main menu on the homepage, HOWEVER… on any other link through out the site it does.
Example (this won’t display the description or submenu for “Christ Connect”: http://www.thestreamingbible.net/index.php – If it does display, hit refresh and it wont.
But it does here: http://www.thestreamingbible.net/index.php?option=com_community&view=frontpage&Itemid=135
Please help me fix this problem.
Also, where can I locate the footer include to change the copyright details?

As a JATC Standard Member, you can remove JA copyright information with condition that you purchase Copyright Removal license – which is separate from your JATC Standard membership fee. With this package you can remove our footer “Designed by JoomlArt.com” and changed it to “Designed/Powered by YourCompany” as well as other reference to JoomlArt.com.The Copyright Removal fee structure is as follows:
Copyright Removal for 1 domain: USD $40
Copyright Removal for 2 domain: USD $70
Copyright Removal for 3 domain: USD $90TomC ModeratorTomC

I am actually seeing the drop down sub menus for the “Christ Connect” menu item when viewing the site in Chrome.
What browser do you primarily work within? Perhaps there is a configuration setting that is affecting this? What is the drop down supposed to look like for the “Christ Connect” menu item?
November 28, 2011 at 2:19 pm #426936I fixed the problem. There was a some minor php code errors which I will post the fix to later today. I’m at work now.
The copyright removal fee is a completely bogus fee and I will edit this on my own terms.

JoomlArt’s policy with regard to our Copyright and Intellectual Property rights are clearly outlined and defined within both our Template Club info/faqs as well as our Member User Agreements.Be advised that our Copyright infringement detection robot researches Google and other search engines results everyday … any domain uses JA Templates Club without license will be contacted and automatically reported to JoomlArt’s legal department for further action and legal remedy.
November 28, 2011 at 2:54 pm #426943OK… So you’re trying to tell me by removing the entire FOOTER Block I’m in copyright violation?

No … but that is not what you originally asked about – else your original question was not clear . . .cmupchurchAlso, where can I locate the footer include to change the copyright details?
Are you wanting to modify elements of the footer or are you wanting to modify the copyright information – i.e. “Designed/Powered by JoomlArt” as well as other reference to JoomlArt.com?
November 28, 2011 at 3:08 pm #426947Right but I since decided to move the entire block. Thank though. I honestly don’t like the idea of charging for membership, then making me pay for silly fees like copyright removal. The whole “designed by” footer concept is a very unprofessional approach to website development. What top 500 website have you ever seen with a “designed by” anywhere on there site. Anyway. My problem is solved.
At least the Joomlart support is fast and educated. That’s work the cost alone, especially when dealing with problems developing our new site which receives 4-5 million + hits. I need quick response times.
Thanks,
Chris U. -
