    Hi,

I would need some help to add a login & search module into the mainmenu like the one in my attachment.
What are the code I should add to /tpls/blocks/header.php

    Hi,

There’s no need to add another module position, you can assign your login & search module to position named ‘social-link‘ and add appropriate CSS style to make it look similar as in the screenshot.

I will give it. Try. But the current social-link display the content from the default “custom html module”.

I am not sure what I would see what I add a login module.
It’s like missing some way to organize it with a tab/button as what I had shown.

    Hi,

You can create a Custom HTML module with appropriate link to Login / Register page instead or use an extension to load Login module via modal box.

    Hi Adam,

I understand that if I create a custom html link and publish it to social-ink position, visitor actually need to click the link and load another page to access a login page instead of a hover/popup login page.

I was trying to get the same login/search result that are also found in current JA Muzic / JA Magz / JA Mitius template for example.

This is where comes in so handy . . . . You can create a demo version of any of JA’s Templates and then review the backend settings/configurations – so you can try to duplicate a particular function or assignment (such as assigning a module to the mega menu).

    Hi Toms,

Thanks for the tips. I actually do have virtual machine around for my internal demo builder.
I did watch the t3 video and try out editing content in tpls folder but still it is quite beyond me to rewrite things or figure out the function of respective codes in header.php

Assigning modules to Mega Menu items shouldn’t involve the header.php file . . .

you should be able to do it within your Main Menu Manager.

    Hi,

Let’s assume that we will implement the same layout as JA Magz, so you will have to config 2 modules Search and Login as described in JA Magz documentation (see 2.5 Login module and 2.8 Search module) then provide your site url so I can see the result.

After that, please install JA Magz in your local test machine and I will show you where to copy appropriate CSS styles from JA Magz to JA Fixel to get the same style.

    Hi,

In this case, I’m afraid that I need to take a look at your site in order to investigate the issue and provide you with a CSS fix.

It would be very helpful if you were able to upload your site to your webhost server – so we can inspect your issue(s) online. Otherwise, it is very difficult to address your specific issues (or try to duplicate what you have done).
