You can use the override profile function and create various layout with or without the mainnav block

November 22, 2011 at 6:19 pm #425950My first thought is that, within your Module Manager, you can set which pages your “Main Menu” displays within the Main Menu module parameters.
Incidentally, which template are you working with?

Look at the left bottom of your template manager — Language & Page Assignments — you have two columns Pages and Profiles .In the first you can choose which page you want to use that specific profile that you will assign from the Profiles column
May 8, 2012 at 4:44 pm #452056ive assigned the profile i made but the main template menu is still on the page i want to use the top menu that i made
http://locksmith-experts.com/annapolis-home this is the page i want a different menu on when i click home it takes me back to the main default page i want it to remain on this page and then build it out as neededalso the top template text should read Locksmith Experts Annapolis MD when landing on this page and it reads the same default home page . would i have to edit the css to reflect the menu i want to add for the specific pages im sure im close and it seems easy to do but i cant figure it out any suggestions also i can add you as a admin and see if you can come up with something as this is a test site

May 8, 2012 at 7:55 pm #452089Could you check now your site ?
If i well understood you want this layout for your home right ?
May 8, 2012 at 8:25 pm #452096no i need the main default template to show up on the main domain locksmith-experts.com that page will have the heading text “locksmith services” and ill add pages and edit it as normal .
now lets say i setup a service areas menu button and setup a page called locksmith annapolis and when you click on it and land on that page i need a new menu and new template heading text to say locksmith Annapolis Md and from that page you can not get back to the main template home page i will add different buttons and pages to that menu bar and the home redirect to the annapolis page . not sure this is possible but i can do it in general css with dream weaver.
in short it will be like having seperate area websites run by 1 joomla site , i can do this with subdomain names but i have to load joomla template for each subdomain name
example, http://annapolis.locksmith-experts.com/
http://glenburnie.locksmith-experts.com/May 8, 2012 at 9:12 pm #452102another example http://locksmith-experts.com/annapolis-home click on service areas and then the drop down menu edgewater and when you land on this page i would like to have a different menu as it stand now its the default menu and the heading should read locksmith experts edgewater md .. it reads locksmith experts annapolis now
May 8, 2012 at 9:22 pm #452105one more example this is the main home page http://www.alliedlocksmiths.com
the menu is different from when you land on this page in a google searchhttp://www.alliedlocksmiths.com/maryland/severna-park-locksmith.html
May 9, 2012 at 11:32 am #452215http://roofingrepairexperts.com/severna-park-md this is one of my sites that i want a separate menu on this page when you click home it takes you to the main default home page i want it to take you to this page referenced above.
and i want to add more buttons to the menu on this page that only will be seen from this page and other pages created from this new menupavit Moderatorpavit

May 9, 2012 at 1:10 pm #452223Hi
You can have this creating new menus and assign the menu to specific profiles
example: you have done the profile Annapolis that use the top menu with a Home and other pages
when users are in the annapolis pages they cannot return back to the main menu home ( main menu ) , also if you need specific layouts and themes for the annapolis page you can do it and assign that to the annapolis profile, if you need that the annapolis home will be the Home page reached when someone search for your site, simply set the Home in the top menu as default page, it’s more simple to do that to explain how to do
May 9, 2012 at 4:08 pm #452244I got this working but i had to remove the default menu from the template layout setting and add a new menu to the pages , http://roofingrepairexperts.com/home-severna-park
i also got the theme to work when i assign it to the Severna park pages but the template logo text still reflects the default main template text ” window replacement experts ” and i have assigned it the severna park profile which i made green and it works but the logo text or header text should read “Roofing Repair Experts 410-946-6166” but it doesn’t show up any ideas what to do
also is their any way to style the menu -
