Are you trying to use the default menu location that comes with that template?

You can see the module positions and their associated names here – https://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja-platon/default-layout.jpg or from the template manager in the back end. From there you can adjust the module positions and their names as required.

I checked your site and it seems that your custom new theme causes this issue. It has CSS rule which accidentally hide the mainnav: http://prntscr.com/huoswi

Kindly check the custom theme again.
