Hi all moderators
My name Hindro from Indonesia. Sorry if my english is bad. My website (termasmedia.com) have been using template Business9 from Joomlart with JA T3 Framework for Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.4 for more than 3 years. Now I plan to change the template from Business9 to JA SIMPLI. Business9 is a great template but less responsive for mobile device.
Now I develop my website using JA SIMPLI on localhost. I am very satisfied with its look now and plan to move the website from localhost to web hosting. Before doing it I would like to ask you some questions:
-
I have made some adjustments to JA SIMLPI template in folder template/ja_simpli/css/template.css to meet my requirenment. the changes are only related to css values like the font size of article titles, the background colors, padding and margin sizes, and etc. If there is an update for JA SIMPLI whether the adjustments will be lost. If yes, how to solve this?

I have created custom module, write HTML tag and inserted PHP code to show current year. I have placed the module to footer section. Why PHP code didn’t show current year (this is the PHP code: <h4 style="text-align: center; color: #ffffff; line-height: 80%;">Copyright Oktober 2012 – <?php echo date(‘Y’); ?> termasmedia.com, All Right Reserved)? I also had changed the code (<?php <h4 style="text-align: center; color: #ffffff; line-height: 80%;">Copyright Oktober 2012 – <?php echo date(‘Y’); ?> termasmedia.com, All Right Reserved ?>) but it had the same result. I include the capture.
- I have been using Business9 template with JA T3 Framework 2. Now I change the template from Business9 to JA SIMPLI. JA SIMPLI is a template with no framework. In Joomla backend (administration area), Why do I still see JAT3 Clean Cache? I include the capture.
Thank you in advance for the reply

November 16, 2016 at 2:27 am #986728Hi,
You can find answers for your questions as below:
1) You can create a new css file called custom.css and add your custom css code into this file which will be safe when you update template.
2) Did it work with default Joomla template?
3) I guess Business 9 is still the default template on your site so that link still appears. If you don’t use it anymore, you can disable JAT3 plugin.

Sorry I am late to respond to your reply because of sore eyes

Do you mean I need to create a css file called custom.css in folder template/ja-simpli/css and add all my custom code into this css file. For more convenience, can I create a new css file, call it custom.css, copy all code from template.css, and paste into custom.css?

I have tried to use Beez3 template and gave the same result. The code <?php echo date(‘Y’); ?> didn’t show current year. I also have tried to use same Joomla blank modules and pasted the code into it but still gave the same result. Are there other solutions to show the current year?
- Yes, I have disabled it and JAT3 Clean Cache has been lost.

November 18, 2016 at 4:00 am #987468Hi,
1) It’s your decision coz the style in ‘custom.css’ file will have priority when your site loads.
2) If the same happens with default template, then there is something wrong with your own code, kindly check again.

November 18, 2016 at 4:29 am #987476Hi Moderator,
One question again, I forget to ask you this. How does JA SIMPLI refer to this custom.css, is there a code or some that need to add so that JA SIMPLI uses this to refer to custom.css or I just create it, add custom css code and it will be refered to by JA SIMPLI automatically?
Thank you so much for all your replies and helps.
Regards

November 21, 2016 at 2:27 am #987979JA Simpli supports to load this file (if it exists) automatically so you just simply create this file and add custom css code there.
Have a nice day!
