You meant, the Home Page, correct? In JA Teline jargon, Front Page refers to a certain module only.
I had a similar request, more like this
Section “Front Page” Module
=> selected articles from the different categories
features default ordering :chronological with capability to order articles just like in the Front Page module.Section JA News Module
=> Different submodules for the various categories, then ordered as is done with the Sections in the Home Page.
=> Articles are then grouped and presented
=> default ordering :chronological with capability to order articles just like in the Front Page module.Technically, this should already be doable, by cloning the JA Front Page and JA News modules, and then renaming these clones to be specific for each section.
This is a crude manual way of doing it.
A good script would be able to do the same, without having to create all those clones. It might already be there. I just do not know how to do it.
I do hope one of the Moderators or anyone who knows scripting could provide the answer to this.

June 25, 2008 at 4:04 am #255977here is my site so far.
http://www.politicsmonthly.com
as you can see I aready used the quickstart.what I want to know is…
how do I make a section like USNEWS on my site just like the homepage. I just want the same control I have with the home page modules. I would like different content of course, but the same layout.
Actually, I would like the same layout as my home page with almost all my sections.
So when you click on my USNews page, I want you to see the same layout as on the home page with different content.
*sorry if my english isnt perfect, but it isnt my first language.
I can successfully make a second home page, but it has the exact same content as my first home page.

Maybe I miss your request, but you want have site like demo, plz install quickstart(include install sample data).
And you can read User Guide HERE</blockquote>Hi nguoiabcd.
What randpost responded to you is exactly as I outlined above in my response in this thread. We already did the Quickstart and llooked at the Hung’s link (that you provided) already.Unless I missed something when I read it, Hung’s post does not answer the request of randpost or mine.
I really hope you give more specific responses that will truly address the question being asked.
Let me repeat and elaborate on my post: above. Basically what we both requested is something like this:
For each section:
it should have:
1. Section “Front Page” Module
=> selected articles from the different categories
features default ordering :chronological with capability to order articles just like in the Front Page module.2. Section JA News Module
This is a crude manual way of doing it.A good script would be able to do the same, without having to create all those clones. It might already be there. I just do not know how to do it.
What I outlined above is not what you see in the Demo Sections.
I do hope one of the Moderators or anyone who knows scripting could provide a more concrete response that when executed will achieve the desired effect.
Please if you think we are stupid, or just plain too lazy, can you kindly point to the section in Hung’s tutorial that addresses this question?
To begin with if Hung’s Teline II guide addressed the issues asked here, the Demo page would be as we are requesting.
It is really frustrating to get nebulous answer. I am not sure whether no response is worse than a nebulous response.
Much appreciated who ever can help resolve this.

I am tired repeating myself. Could you do me a favor. Maybe Hung does not like me. Can you respond to him here:

What’s up with the “Answered” prefix?
I find this really annoying.

July 7, 2008 at 3:19 am #258239Hi,
Very nice site! I was wondering how you get so much new content into your site from the news. I’m doing a music web site and trying to learn about using feeds and getting fresh content with images so I don’t have to do it manually. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! 😀gaygiorgia Friendgaygiorgia
