Hello
I’m new to Joomla and am enthusiastic to learn about it all so hope you can bare with me on this … tend to learn through trial and error a bit but when make a change to a module or upload a new article I don’t see a chance on the page. Is there normally a delay? I’m doing a full refresh in my broswer. Is it normal for there to be a deal or should I speak to someone about the issue? It’s slowing me down big time at the moment.
Am using the Ironis template.
Thanks loads if anyone can advise.

August 17, 2012 at 9:34 pm #464584I don’t have Ironis but most JA T3 templates follow the same logic.
If you go to Template Manager / Ironis make sure that you set in ‘Global’ the following settings:-
Enable Development Mode – YES – this will disable cache so that you see changes to copy immediately
Optimise CSS to ‘NO’
Optimise JS to ‘NO’This will you allow or someone else to find the right files for code.
Also ever time you make a change to a module – make sure you clean the JAT3 cache. In blue at the top of the browser.
As you are new I cannot recommend strongly enough that you download and install Akeeba Backup. It will probably save your life – you can restore not rebuild!! 🙂
That should set you on your way to start!

Thank you so much!
