    Hi

I would like to know if I can add a manual association for 2 k2 items (each one in diferents languages). I try to see it associated in the association manager table.

I cant find how this extension stores this relationship.

    Thanks

K2 does not support to add association manually as Joomla core components yet.

You need 3rd extension to manage multilingual for K2 component, such as JA K2 Multilingual or Joomfish component.
For our component, it uses Joomla association table to store association data of K2 items.

    HI

Yes I´m using JA Multilingual but I have one item that I have translated it manually (creating one item by language), I want only for this case associate it to see it like other elemnents translated automatically.

I have seen there is a table “###_associations” with this columns: ID, context, key. I supouse I will need to insert here this association with id_item_k2, “com_k2.item” and key (How is created this MD5 ?).

Is this the way to do it manually ?

    Thanks
    Best regards

The MD5 key is encoded string of associated items’ key, but you can create a random string (32 characters) to use as key, each record with the same key is known as associated item.

Or you can run Tranlsate function to create an item in new language. Once done, you can copy content from your old artcile to new item, and drop the old item then.

I will try to do the first option

I can´t run Translate option and move the content because the problem it´s this new item get a new URL and I need the old URL

    My url´s looks like

    http://www.domain.es/references/456-title-of.k2-item

456: It´s the item id and this is a sequence. I dont know how many relations have this item id. If I run Translate it will have a new item id and a new URL.

    Thanks Dead Code
