We want to display a Google map on one of our pages… Does this syntax no longer work? ….
    {google_map} XXXX XXX {/google_map}

If not, please advise a solution.
    Thanks.

    Hi

You should use the code as choosed in the Ja Google Map plugin , specifically {jamap} , you can change it if you wish and use into your articles or modules

Thanks Pavit, does this require a Google Map api ‘browser key’? Please advise.

Yes you should create your own Google Mapi API V3 Key

    Take a look HERE

Hi Pavit, we have followed the steps provided and entered our unique API Key in the plugin, however it displays the following error message…

“Google has disabled the use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not a valid Google API Key, or it
is not authorised for the Google Maps Javascript API v3 on this site.”

We have generated a new key but we get the same error message.
    Please adivse how to resolve.
    Thanks

    Hi

There are two possible options as solution of this

    1) Your google map API key generated is not the correct one

    2) You have not changed the API key inside plugin settings

Verify it and your problem will be solved

I cannot investigate on your google account, Ja Googlemap plugin works fine if the correct API Key is added to it

So you should be sure that the Key you added is the correct one.

    Thanks Pavit, we appreciate that.

There are 4 different API keys to select from… “Server key”, “Browser key”, “Android key”,”iOS key”.

We have used a browser key.. Is this correct?

    Yes is correct

Did you activated the related service ?

    To retrieve your API key:

    1) Visit the APIs Console at https://code.google.com/apis/console and log in with your Google Account.

    2) Click the Services link from the left-hand menu.

    3) Activate the Google Maps Embed API service.

    4) Click the API Access link from the left-hand menu. Your API key is available from the API Access page, in the Simple API Access section. Maps API applications use the Key for browser apps.

    Hi Pavit,

    Thank you for yoru response.

I can confirm that our Google Maps Embed API service is activated.
I followed all of the steps you gave but we still get the error message mentioned above. I have tried generating new API keys, etc… All to no success..

    Please advise.
