Hello,
There are some way to put map with all places in slideshow position and the same, put map in slideshow position in every category with places in map from these category?
Some like others wp o joomla themes directories?
I can give you some examples of this.

Most are geared to real estate but also are general, events and clasify,… all are killer sales,… I have some of this like zoner and elisting in joomla and many in wp like glocal, properta or the best for me, directory from templatic with child theme spotfinder,…
Spotfinder of templatic is really nice and AJAX search is unbeatable,… a Joomla multipurpose with this ajax search and clean and url friendly I think that will be a killer sales,…

you can see the declaration via this file: root/templates/ja_directory/html/com_k2/directory/category.php
