    Hi :I just installed JA Masshead module (from JA Extensions Club) with Purity III .I have tried with Blog layout among others and Masshead position is not among the available positions, unsurprisingly the Masshead module is not showing.
    Help will be appreciated:)

    Hi Chavan: Thanks so much for your speedy reply. However, perhaps i did not explained myself clearly enough or perhaps I did not understand your explanation: the module configuration assumes that I have assigned it to the “masshead” position (as explained in the one-before-the last note (“Is the module assigned to a visible module position ?”) in the userguide http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-module/ja-masshead .In the layout I chose in Purity III (“Blog”) there is no such a position to be chosen . The only available position starting with “mas” is “mast-col” and even “masthead” is not available ( it appears as default in the layout but I assume this is not the same as “masshead” and in any case the module does’nt work)
    Thanks
    PS Actually I am wondering: is there such a position “masshead”?

    yes there is a position called “masthead” in purity iii, so you can make use of that

    Hi Chavan. Thanks again. I set the position to “masthead” and it did work – partially. The text I set for Title and Description are showing , but not the background picture. I am using the following code for Configuration conditions:

    [Masshead option=”com_content” view=”article” title=”<h1> My Title </h1>” id=”18″ background=”images/mm.jpg”]<h3>My Description</h3> [/Masshead]

    But picture mm.jpg is not showing as background.I read in the user guide that “background” should be defined as a new param? Where/in which file?

    And another question: can the height of the masthead be changed ? how?

    The purpose of the JA Masshead module is not clear to me since I can achieve a similar result using the Page Display Options functionality in the menu item

    Thanks

    Hi norman_mm,

    I have exactly the same problem than you. The JA masshead module don’t display images in background (Template : Purity III, blog layout, position masthead)

    Did you fix it ? Or anyone know how to do ?

    thanks

    Try this code for blog layout

    This is the Syntax

    [Masshead option="com_name" view="view_name" layout="layout_name" task="task_name" id="id" title="Title" ]Description here[/Masshead]

    This is the example

    [Masshead option="com_content" view="category" layout="blog" id="88" title="your title here" background="masthead-bg.jpg"][/Masshead]

    Hi Chavan:
    Is not working yet. Let me give you some additional info:
    in the ja-masshead module I set Configuration Conditions to :
    [Masshead option=com_content view=article id=3 title=”My Title from Configuration Conditions!!” background=”banner_cradle.jpg”] My Description [/Masshead]
    (I saved under my_site/images: banner_cradle.jpg and I tried the above code with: /images/banner_cradle.jpg or images/banner_cradle.jpg, with no success).
    I tried also adding a file default.php file under: templatespurity_iiihtmlmod-jamasshead ( I created folder mod-jamasshead which did not exist) with code:

    ?php
    defined(‘_JEXEC’) or die(‘Restricted access’);
    ?>
    <div class=”ja-masshead” <?php if(isset($masshead[‘params’][‘background’])): ?> style=”background-image: url(<?php echo $masshead[‘params’][‘background’] ?>)” <?php endif; ?>>
    </div>

    Did not work either.

    I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    Hi Chavan: I am developping in my local computer so the only thing I can think about is upolading temporarily my site somewhere which would allow this sorty of thing. At any rate it is a very small site ( and actually in Hebrew) where I am trying to use the extension so as to apply it later in a larger scenario. Is there some specific code and/or configurations from my site that I can supply that may help you identify the problem?
    Thanks

    Please post the code into the development server. since Without checking it, It is going to be a tough call to provide a solution. Please help me on this to help you.

    Sure, but I am not familiar with the “development server” . Where and how should I upload the code? Or just paste it here in the blog?

    If you have a hosting, please upload the files there, make the site live and provide the details.
