DESPERATE: PLEASE HELP!!!
I just recently downloaded and installed the CloudBase Template from cloudaccess.net and i am facing massive display errors in all versionsof IE: IE6, IE7 and IE8:
1. The IE6 warning message pops down from the top even though the version of IE i am using is IE8. Even though i check “Don’t show it again” checkbox, it still shows everytime in IE8.
2. Following is a list of display errors that occurr in IE:
– The main menu becomes an elongated vertical list instead of a horizontal bar.
– The Front-Page Blog Layout is split up into 2 columns, however the article intros only show up in one long column.
– The User3 module’s length cannot be contained on the same row and spills on the next row.3. Also, the length of the User1, User2, User3, User4, User5 modules have been shortened and the width customized by making the following changes in /public_html/templates/cloudbase/layouts/blocks/topsl.php. However, the errors were still there before modifying topsl.php.
The template works beautifully well in Chrome, FireFox, Safari and Chrome but craps out in IE. You can test all of the above behaviour in IE at:
http://fst03.justhost.com/~brainsu1/
Note: The error partially goes away in IE7 if i restrict the front article blog layout to display only UPTO 2 article intros (IE6 & IE8 still have the same error), but still display strange half-ass colors.

Why are you posting this here?
If I understand the situation correctly, Joomlart released the t3 template and JA purity for free for anyone to download and use within certain restrictions.
Some companies are using the t3 framework to design their own template and then either charge for it (e.g. Gavick Pro??) or give it away from free (e.g. Cloud Access?)
I’d be surprised if anyone at Joomlart has heard of Cloud Access to be honest – and certainly it seems you should redirect your question to Cloud Access – as they, and not Joomlart, produced your template.

August 31, 2010 at 11:08 pm #354301On a side note, I opened the cloud base website in IE8 and whilst I gave up looking at errors after seeing these (below), once I dismissed all errors the site did at least seem to function I think: –
VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of z in mx.core.SpriteAsset.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable BufferingImage_ImageClass is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable VimeoLogo_SVGClass is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable WatchLaterIcon_SVGClass is not defined
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable FullscreenEnabledIcon_SVGClass is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable EmbedIcon_SVGClass is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable HDIcon_SVGClass is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable StyleSheetStandard_ARIAL_BOLD_EMBED is not defined.<em>@smitheringale 192406 wrote:</em><blockquote>Why are you posting this here?

September 1, 2010 at 7:52 am #354342Your site works fine in Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 8. Which is interesting, because the demo had all sorts of errors in Internet Explorer 8.
Maybe you shouldn’t worry so much about IE6 as that is becoming a very old browser indeed and I don’t think too many people still use it – although I know some people have no choice but to use it professionally – but that is hopefully a small and dying crowd.
As for the other problems – what are you getting? I didn’t see any problems or errors, which is surely good news.
Your site looks nice 🙂 There is a lot of great information in there and I think it is a great site 🙂
Perhaps you could join Joomlart and download one of their templates – you’d have 90 to choose from and the cost is not so very much for what you get – especially bug fixes.
But I still think if you’re having problems with the cloud access template – you should speak to cloud access. Are they not providing any help at all? One would have thought they should want to help?

September 18, 2010 at 5:28 am #355869Hi Guys,
I am sorry. We would not be able to support Templates modified and offered by other developers. All the issues and bugs be reported to their forums or support system.
We can not spare our dedicated support team to debug a 3rd party modified version of our template.
Sorry, but thats it.

September 18, 2010 at 12:51 pm #355897Hi Arvind,
Thanks for your reply.
I will download JD free template and will work on this.
Thanks for your helpNovember 15, 2010 at 12:56 pm #362923Hello Joomlart Community 🙂
At the beginning I wouldlike to say that you can submit a ticket to us by simply writing to: support@cloudaccess.net if you’ll find any bug in our template. We will put it on our To-Do list, fix the bug and release new version with fixes. We are new in this field, but we are trying to release well-made templates.
Probably all bugs pointed in this topic are fixed: http://www.cloudaccess.net/cloudbase-template.html Please always check latest version on our site. Presently latest version of CloudBase template is 1.0.8 and it contains few IE fixes.
Regards, Dom
