Thanks for your response

I have followed this but still not getting the image up, however I have just noticed that if I create a new layout in styles, it does not add the items to the php document.

For example I have used the features-intro.php and altered this to have the masthead in place of the slideshow position, however when I look at the cloned pho file it still has slideshow not masthead?

Could this be the issue also?

Open /local/tpls/ and check the custom layout added by you. Add masthead position like added in your custom layout.
