    Hi

I have Joomla version 1.5.20 installed (not a live site) and using T3 V2. The site makes heavy use of Mega Menu. There are multiple columns under all Mega Menu buttons … and more than 500 links in the whole site that are inside the Mega Menu columns

The T3 System Plugin version was 1.1.2. Everything was working fine.

I upgraded the T3 System Plugin to 1.1.8 using JoomArt Extensions Manager. And now I have an issue:

I open my site and let it load fully. Then when I click any link from the Mega Menu (and the clicked page start loading), all the Mega Menu columns also start appearing one by one (as if they are also reloading with the page)… i.e. As page is loading, first mega menu drop-down will slide open, and without hiding the first one, the 2nd drop-down will appear, then 3rd and so on until all Mega Menu drop-downs are visible. THEN all of them will hide themselves.

As I said there are hundreds of links in my Mega Menus, so each page load takes a lot of time as all Mega Menu columns start re-loading (at least that is my guess) as well.

Here is the directory structure of /MYSITE/templates/ja_t3_blank/local/themes/

    /MySITE-> templates-> ja_t3_blank-> local-> themes-> My_Purple_Theme
    – blocks
    — usertools
    — cpanel.php
    — header.php
    – css
    — layout.css
    — template.css
    — usertools.css
    — menu
    — mega.css
    – images
    – page
    — default.php

I am using these files from backup of 1.1.2 version of T3 V2 System Plugin.

As most of these are CSS files, and there is no php file here I think that is affecting the behavior of Mega Menu then what do you think is happening?

Kindly give me some hint or let me know whatever you think can be the cause of this.

    Regards

After the upgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.8, you have to also cross check mega.css, there could be optimizations made in all
    – base-theme
    – default theme (T3 Blank)
    – other themes (your-theme-name)

So copy these mega.css files to your desktop and cross compare to find missing, added, moved styling.

My advice would be to rollback and upgrade each version at a time and cross check the differences, as this leap is too big, and you have lost track of changes.

    Thank you Danny

That sounds like good advice. I’ll rollback, upgrade one version at a time and then let you know…

    Hello Danny

I did as you told me. Rolled back and upgraded each version of T3 System Plugin one at a time and cross check the differences…

It worked! The Mega Menu works great. Thank you very much 🙂

    Take care
