hey most probably a noob Q, but i have set up the menu the way i want it to work. basically when active creates a tab, with grey text (see first image) however when the the forum is clicked it goes provides the tab on hover, but as soon as the page is reloaded the active class is not attached to the menu item, which in turn means that the words forum are not visually tabbed.

p.s. using the 1.2 version of the plugin.

to make life easier – I found another site that has the exact same problem – http://www.e-biotek.com/ not sure if the owner has noticed or even cares, but when you click on the other links they each have their own particular style attatched to the active class, but when you click on the forum, there simply is no active class.

hi,

when you use kunena forum, joomla will switch to “Kunena menu” and mark “active” for this menu’s item, you can check this menu in admin > menus.

Thats the reason why “forum” in the mainmenu wont be marked as “active” anymore, this is default in joomla.

so how do i fix this, is there an option to overide that default behaviour

dear,

you can fix this by moving the menu items from Kunena menu to Main menu, check attachment, it should be ok 🙂
