July 3, 2012 at 10:05 pm #178775Hi
I have a strange problem that I just can not solve.site is http://46.22.129.126
When I change the catagorie that is feeding the articals to the JA bullitem Module the link in the changed latest news do not work and alway just display the home page again, but the url in the address bar has changed.
On my site I have changed the Module under World and Tech and left all the others as they were.
So if you go to TECH and the link Respite Care if clicked the home page is displayed again.
all the other links on the other menus that I have made no changes to still work as they did.
but it you click on Life and then revisit the TECH Menu and click on the Respite care link in Latest news the link works.
The issue is only on the home page.
The same issue is effecting the catagorie listings in the centre of the page.
If Entitelments
Disability allowences or any othe item in this display is clicked it returns to the index page. Please Help

July 4, 2012 at 3:48 am #459831Hi Takestock
I think that it is problem of SEF. Please disable it in global config then clear cache and check front end again.

July 4, 2012 at 11:30 am #459874HI
This issue is not only effecting the Bulliten module. It is also effecting the JA News Module in the centre of the page.I have the latest versions of both installed. If I visit the Joomart site the changelog talks about version 2.51 of the bulliten module the available download in Forum is 2.50
I do not think this is a version issue as I have the same site on another server which is working.
I have noted the following links
Link visited from mega menu bulliten module when on home page
http://46.22.129.126/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=492:disabled-parking-bays&Itemid=490Link visited from mega menu bullien module when in any other section of the site
http://46.22.129.126/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=492:5345345&Itemid=551Same link the only difference is the itemid= at the end after the 492:
Why are they different? on the index page.
The point here is that the links are only broken on the index page.
Please help, I can not get past this.

July 5, 2012 at 4:30 am #459933Hi Alan,
To summarize your current issue ( correct me if I’m wrong): In mega menu > Lastest News which points to display JA Bullettin module in mega position. This JA Bulletin module retrieve articles from ‘Health’ category and when you click ‘ Respite Care’ article which belong to ‘Health’ category, it keep displaying in homepage, right?
This is because ‘Respite Care’ article or ‘Health’ category do NOT belong to any menu item, you need to create a new menu item and assign this article (or category this article belongs to) to this new menu item. You can also assign to one of current menu items but make sure that that menu item is not assigned to any module.
I’ve made an example by creating a new menu item named ‘Health Latest’ with type of ‘Category Blog’ in your site and assign ‘Health’ category to this new menu item. As you can see now it display in own page instead of homepage.
I’m sorry for not asking you before making change in your site but I just want to make an example for you, please help me delete it if you don’t wanna keep.
Hope you got the idea.
P/S: just update in forum so that if other face the same issue, this may help.
Regards. -
