I have checked your site and see the mega menu sub topics are working well with Search Engine Friendly URLs = YES. Which default configuration did you mention?

    Default config after quick install

Search Engine Friendly URLs = YES
    Use URL rewriting =NO

    current working configure is :

Search Engine Friendly URLs = YES
    Use URL rewriting =YES

    Question is :
Why the name of the gods you not preset in default configuration
    Use URL rewriting =YES .
Making you default quick install working !!!

Please do not get me wrong i Love your template.
Just it’s little strange when product does not run after install

In Global configuration > in SEO settings you will see this note:

    Use URL rewriting
Select to use a server’s rewrite engine to catch URLs that meet specific conditions and rewrite them as directed. Available for IIS 7 and Apache.

    Apache users only.
Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess before activating.

    IIS 7 users only
Rename web.config.txt to web.config and install IIS URL Rewrite Module before activating.

And the reason we don’t enable Use URL Rewriting option is that before activating this option, you need .htaccess file – which is located in your server that is beyond our control.

Another reason is that in order to make this option work, your server must support mod_rewrite and we don’t know in advance whether your server supports this option or not.

    Hope this make senses.
