What about a click on the image for a larger view? The picture explains a lot. The menu “Fishing” is set to 2 colums and all the sub menus are set to 1 columns. The sub menu “Map” should be in column 1 under Winter / Ice Fishing and “Species” in column 2.
I tried to adjust the columns height of the menu, but it didn’t change the position/column of the sub menu “Map”.

    Thanks

Let me explain it better… if you look carefully @ the end you’ll see I did basically exactly what you wanted to do…. THE ONLY menu I changed was “administrator.
its all about columns and groups.

No, that’s not the problem. The website is temporary online: http://lucalanzoni.com/lacdesroches.com/
I would like to have the sub menu “Fishing Guide”, which is within the “Fishing” menu, in column 1 underneath the sub menu “Map” –Lac des Roches. So there would be just the sub menu “Species” in column 2.

ok so set “species” to group 2. The wiki really does explain this all , I’m working on the same kind of thing right now on my site and where things wind up are all based on their depth within the joomla menu structure and the columns / groups in megamenu….
I’ll try to give you another example later on today
