February 28, 2016 at 9:49 am #891673A simple deactivating or changing an item of the mainmenu makes the megamenu collapse (without doing anything in template configuration). It collapses to one single column and I have to do the configuration of the megamenu again.
That´s annoying.Using latest Qickstart, copy of the original style, custom css.
What makes the megamenu collapse from 2 colums to single column? How can I prevent?

February 28, 2016 at 2:09 pm #891733Megamenu seems fine on the front end to me. Do you mean it collapses when working on it in the backend?

February 29, 2016 at 7:52 am #892163It looks fine because I always repair it after it has collapsed.
It collapses when working in the backend on the mainmenu – for example deactivating a menue item.I don´t know how this happens, because I do not any changes in the megamenu configuration of the template. Just changing the menu items itself.

February 29, 2016 at 10:24 am #892271Have you put ‘mega-left’ and ‘mega-right’ in the ‘extra classes’ boxes?
Also have you set each columns to a grid width, e.g. 4 for each side of the megamenu ?Walter Doljar FriendWalter Doljar

March 11, 2016 at 9:51 am #898303I have set both (grid width, extra classes) – no help.
For example – adding an english menue item made the german! megamenue collaps. Every little change makes megamenu collaps.
Maybe a problem of dealing with the two languages?
I have no idea, it is so annoying to repeat the work again and again…

March 14, 2016 at 7:48 am #899309I checked the both languages on your site but I could not get the problem of you mentioned above. Please have a look at my screenshot
Besides that, your site still faces the problem, you can send me the screenshot and description on that. It would help to understand the problem on your site. I will help you to check this.

March 15, 2016 at 8:08 am #899776Hi,
you can´t see the problem on frontpage because I always "repair" the collapsed menues immediately. (The site is online and customer has already paid for it.)As I mentioned in my first post – a simple change of the menue items make the megamenu collapse. (deactivating an item, adding a new item…). Widths are lost, only one colum remain, the groups are still working… And that without touching the megamenu configuration of the template.
When it has collapsed I have to set the language of the german and english items to language "all" – then the items become visible in megamenu configuration of the template.
And when they are visible I can rebuild the colums of megamenu, set the width and so on. And afterwards I set the menu items back to the original languages. This repairing works until I touch the menu again. Then the whole process starts again…
Maybe I do something wrong with menu and languages?

March 15, 2016 at 9:12 am #899820You can follow the video guide here to change the configuration of megamenu on your site. If you could not solve this directly on your site. You can send me the admin login of your site via your reply and set as private reply. I will help you to change the configuration from two column of your menu to single.
