Hi

My megamenu seems to jump to the right and then back to same place on the left when moving from one sub-menu item to another. It only lasts for a split second but it is annoying! I have tried disabling all of my own styling but the problem is in the mega-menu e.g About > Academic > Departments > one department to another. It doesn’t happen between all links but on quite a few.

Hi Chavan

Thank you for your interest. In Opera it is ok but jumps in Firefox and IE9. It is only for a split second where the webpage seems to move a few pixels to the right and then bounces back to the left. It is not on all all menu links.

It is a movement so a static screenshot doesn’t help.

If this page is opened http://www.st-marys-shaftesbury.co.uk/j16site/index.php/about/academic-life-mainmenu-421/departments/art-a-design-departments-432 and then Business Studies in the left menu is clicked there is an adjustment or jump of the page.

which version of Firefox are you using?

Firefox 6.0 (up to date version) and IE9

I too use the same version of firefox. I see everything perfect in the firefox version. No jumping are any stuffs. Please capture it as a video, if screenshot can’t be made and post it.

Hi Chavan

I have attached a short movie: you can see the jump to right and the back left after the first click. This happens when I click on the mega-menu but I could not capture this so easily on the short video that is allowed.

I have tried disabling the megamenu and using the css option and there is no jump so I am sure that it is associated with the megamenu that is repositioning itself. I have also tried it without a background image and it is the actual menu that jumps.

For the first time it loads the background images, the shake is there. Next time nothing appears.

I hope this is not an issue.
