Any idea why the slogan does not show up in the megamenu of the ja social template? I have the latest edition of Joomla, template, and T3.

    Thanks for the help!

When you installed your JA Social template, did you do so utilizing the quickstart installation process – also installing sample data?

Also …. What “slogan” in the mega menu are you referring to?

I do not believe I installed the sample data but I honestly do not remember. I think that I didn’t but it is very possible that I did.

By slogan I mean the little descriptive txt that you can have under your menu title. I can’t get that working for some reason and I need help.

I believe THIS GUIDE[/url] may assist you.

Normally, yes that would have been all I needed, I read that guide and watched the videos before posting in the support forum. My problem is that when I type something into the description/slogan box it does not translate to being viewable on the site. I know its not a cache issue as that is disabled and other changes work so unfortunately this is a dev issue and is why I need help. Thank you! 😎

When I try to bring up your site (per the url you provided), I get the following error message . . .

    Not Found
The requested URL /forums/dev2.plastusa.org was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Site works for me. Also could you please edit your post, I do not want the site out in the open yet. Maybe we should continue via PM… Could you PM me and I can send you the site address which is what you posted minus the forum part which is what I had in the original post so not sure where the forum stuff is coming from.

I did not post your site url – the info you provided in your initial post is only viewable to Support Team

But you can certainly PM me with the info and I will try to take a look for you.

I am going to try and get help from an expert that I worked with previously as you were unable to help me. Sorry, thanks for the effort though unless you can still help.

What I need is not the directions on how to use megamenu but rather an explanation of why those directions are not working on my site. I try and put in a slogan and its not working and the directions sent to me simply say put the slogan in the JA Extended area description and it should work. There is no mention of extra required configurations so I need help. Please help me to get this working. Thanks.

Sorry I wasn’t able to assist you better. The instructions within our Mega Menu Guide are universal for using the mega menu – so it, perhaps, could be an issue within your particular install.

If you do receive additional assistance and are able to ascertain the issue, please do let us know – juts in case it actually is a bug within the JA Social J1.7 template download.

The other thing you COULD try – if you were inclined to do so – would be to start fresh and install the quickstart+sample data … and see if things work better from a fresh install that way. (Or, you could set up a temporary sub-site on your server and try it that way … and then just delete the sub-site when you’re done).
