March 16, 2015 at 12:07 pm #204718Hi,
I have two strange problems with megamenu.
1. Some times when we load the page in desktop and mobile, the megamenu is not displayed in English and French. I have no problem with the default language though. It is strange, because I have created template copies for those languages. Test URL (Some times the menu is showing): http://www.dogbows.gr/en
2. After doing auto translate the search item in the French menu was not formated correctly. So far I have fixed the formating from the template megamenu several times, but it somehow reverts to the bad formating. The URL is: http://www.dogbows.gr/fr/boutique-fr-fr/all-categories-fr-fr and I a attaching a screen shot in order to see the problem,Please advise.

March 17, 2015 at 10:04 am #563400Hi @7of9,
1. Here is the way to see the problem, just clear your browser cache / cookies and navigate here http://www.dogbows.gr/en, you won’t see the Main Menu for the first time. Next, try refresh your browser and you will see it appear.
I checked your source code and see that look like CloudFlare breaks some JS code, please temporary disable it and recheck.
2. Do you mean that menu item should stay on the same line as other items ?

March 17, 2015 at 11:35 pm #563479Hi @adam M ,
1. This does not happen with Greek language, only with English and French. Are you sure it’s Cloudflare. I have a Cloudflare bypass. Instead of http://www.domain use direct.domain. I will also check it without it.
2. I mean that I format the menu item with the magnifying glass, instead of the word search, like the rest of the languages and after a while it looses it. Please see how it should look like in the following picture:
Wrong Format:Correct Format:
Thanks again.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

March 20, 2015 at 5:47 pm #563974Hi @7of9,
I checked your site setting again and found a problem here, please recheck :
1. Currently Main Menu >>> Home use template style JA_Hawkstore – Home
2. Menu principal >>> Début use template style JA_Hawkstore – Home
3. Extensions >>> Template Manager >>> JA_Hawkstore – Home >>> Navigation >>> Menu >>> Aide which means to use this menu as Megamenu which is wrong.
So you will have to recheck your site configuration as below :
1. Make sure the menu you linked in Navigation >>> Menu is a main menu, not another kind of menu
2. In Template Manager >>> JA_Hawkstore – Default EN-GB >>> Menu Assignment >>> make sure you check all menu items related to English, then replicate the same to other languages.
3. If you want to use different style for home page, make sure you must have 3 template styles, for example : JA_Hawkstore – Home (or Home EN-GB), JA_Hawkstore – Home EL-GR and JA_Hawkstore – Home FR-FR. Then assign them with appropriate menu for each language (see step 2)

March 25, 2015 at 4:19 am #564490Unfortunately, the format the menu item with the magnifying glass, instead of the word search in French keeps breaking. I did all the modifications you suggested.
Any ideas?

March 25, 2015 at 1:01 pm #564562Hi @adam M ,
I have checked again all the home menu items and they point to the right template language theme.
I have updated the Main Menu in French language many times myself and it always keeps breaking. The last time took about a week. It;s the longest it lasted. It usually breaks within a couple of days. About the menu not appearing, I haven’t seen the symptom again so far. I will keep checking and keep you posted.
Thanks for your help.

April 6, 2015 at 3:34 am #565839Hi @7of9,
Actually I didn’t find any clue that might cause the problem with search icon because as you can see, the setting is saved in database and you cannot change that unless you change this in database or there’s another administrator changed that.
In this case, you can install LOGman to keep track of current site activities to see which is the cause of this matter.
