Hi,
Can anyone help?
I am using Mendozite, with the sample data and quick start for 2.5.8 K2 v2.6.2
Whenever I save or edit a new/exisiting item in K2 I get the following error.
500 – An error has occurred.
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1 SQL=UPDATE `tiger_finder_taxonomy_map` SET `link_id`=’5′,`node_id`=’3′ WHERE
I’ve upgraded K2 to the latest version.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Richard

February 4, 2013 at 9:49 am #482330Hi,
Did you ever try going to backend and fix the database like this screenshot: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/535/9946258413.png ?
February 6, 2013 at 7:10 pm #482728`Thanks Saguaros,
I’ve done that and it’s not change any thing. It only happens when I create a new K2 item or when I edit a sample item in the quick start template.
Once an item has been created, gone through the error and then re-edited it is OK.
I’m confused. K2 is up to date. And I’ve tried a new install too.
It only happens with this template for me.
Any other ideas anyone?
Richard

February 6, 2013 at 7:12 pm #482730If you switch to a default Joomla template on the same install do you still get a problem?
February 6, 2013 at 8:17 pm #482734Hi Phil,
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I uninstalled the default templates before I realized there was a problem.I can see a way to reinstall them.

February 6, 2013 at 10:15 pm #482747I ask because the saving is a back end function and should not be affected by any front end template. Have a look around for a basic non jat3 based template and install that. Disable the JAT3 plugin and then see if you still get the same problem. I very much doubt you will. I very much doubt you will see a change. What is more likely is that either your database has become corrupt or you have a plugin installed that is causing your issue.
February 7, 2013 at 7:36 am #482766Hi Phil,
I just uploaded a virgin site with the template quickstart. I changed both the admin template and the front end one too. I get the same error.
I think the error is embedded in the quickstart set from the template.
