Hi Guys,
Need some help… I have designed a football site using the JA Social. The issue i have is on the top menu i have Eample ‘Sport’ under sport i have mens football, youth football, ladies football and another. (all 2nd level menu) under this i have a third level menu for each 2nd level for the different age groups ie senior, under 21, under 18, under 16, under 14 etc. What i wanted to do is show this link the menu on the top of this page ‘joomla’ drupal and magento where the menu does not fall down vertically in one line as there is too many link. I want to show the menu on each tab at the top with the 3rd level underneath.
I am a novice with this joomla and template… all help is greatly appreciated … I want to create a drop down that is eash to navigate to the different sports and categories with in that
Also would like to put a site map just above the ‘You are here’ section of the JA social template…what is that location? and also what is the best sitemap extension out there?
Thanks in advance for any help.

January 23, 2011 at 11:08 am #373257Hello,
I think that it’s depend from the template you choose. Maybe Social template don’t allow what you need. Try another template else you need to modify css, if you are novice, it’s not so easy.
For the site map, look at the userguide of Teline IV, there’s an example.

January 23, 2011 at 10:47 pm #373348The “site” is showing that you are using the dropline menu, if you switch to the mega menu in the template manager you will very easilly be able to achieve what you are trying to do.
Take a look at the features dropdown in the demo page, is that roughly what you are after – http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_social
If that is the case then the simplest way for you to see how it is done would be to install the quickstart on your local machine using Wamp or Xampp. It will take a lot longer for me to explain it that it will be for you to set that up on your desktop. Less than 10 minutes work. Alternatively you could use the demo builder (on the same page as above) to examine how the menu is setup.

January 25, 2011 at 12:21 am #373592Thanks for your PM. I have taken a look at your site and the solution is simple though not obvious (if I have understood your wants correctly). In the menu manager select the items you want as header items. Look at the Parameters (JA Extended) section and set Group to “Yes”. Hopefully that is the layout you were after.
