How can I make it so that on a drop-down the item on the actual menu bar doesn’t link anywhere, and just acts as a menu category for the sub menu items at the top.

I don’t want the item on the actual menu bar to link anywhere. For exampe:

The menu item is fruits… when moused-over it has a submenu for apples, oranges, bananas etc. The different fruits will lead to different pages, but “fruits” on the menu doesn’t link anywhere.

    Thanks!!

Can the menu item be designated as a “Separator” from the assignment menu (when you’re creating the menu item)?

Go to your Menu Manager and select the particular menu you are working with.

Select the particular menu item – in your case, “Fruit” – and (when the menu item editor box opens) there is a “Change Type” button within the “Menu Item Type” section (at the top). Click that button and, near the bottom, you should see “Separator.” Select that and save.

Refresh your site and see if that works for you.
