October 26, 2007 at 1:45 am #123423Hi all,
After installing the template on a fresh joomla install this is what my menu looks like
However if you look at the demo the corner bits on each menu item are supposed to be the same color (ie when it is active should be all white not just the middle block)
I have not made any changes to the index.php file at this stage.
Is there a known issue with the ja_hedera template with regard to the menu images?
Thanks

October 26, 2007 at 2:49 am #231525I don’t really want to download the quickstart package –
I am really curious as to why the available template file is not working. As I said its on a fresh joomla install, i havn’t modified any of the template files they are as they were when downloaded from joomlart, so I would expect that they should work.I have deleted and reinstalled the template with the same results.
October 27, 2007 at 5:36 pm #231637Easy fix….. Which version of Joomla Are you using?
Joomla 1.0.? – Do these steps
1. Log into you administrator backend
2. Go to SITE then TEMPLATE MANAGER then SITE TEMPLATES
3. Select the JA HEDERA radio button and click EDIT HTML button in upper right corner
4. LOOK for the following line and update it so it is using the Split Menu:$ja_menutype = 1; // 1: Split Menu; 2: Son of Suckerfish Dropdown Menu; 3: Dropline; 4: Moomenu
5. Save and check your site – Voilia!
Joomla 1.5 – Do these steps
1. Log into Administrator back end
2. Go to EXTENSIONS then TEPMATE MANAGER
3. Click on the JA_HEDERA template name
4. Change the Menu Module to use the Split Menu
5. Save and view your site.Using either of the methods above you will now have the same menu used in the DEMO.

October 30, 2007 at 1:05 am #231758Thanks for the suggestion but I am confused —
Why would the default menu option mean that the images do not all load?

October 30, 2007 at 1:37 am #231763There’re two styles for main level menu of hedera, one for Split and Dropline menu and one for Suckerfish and Moo menu (dropdown menu). You could switch among those menus to see the effect.

October 30, 2007 at 1:49 am #231766Thanks Khanh Le, yeah i know about the different menus what is puzzling me is why when the template is installed does the default settings result in an incorrect output of the menu images?
I think this is something that should be fixed in the template download file.
Cheers

October 30, 2007 at 2:41 am #231771That’s not an incorrect output, kallan. The default menu you see should be the Moo menu. If you don’t like the moo menu, you could switch to other. We often embed 4 or 5 menu types in each template. To switch to another menu, you could follow the instruction from wheerl post above (or following the user-guide document).

October 31, 2007 at 2:54 am #231851Thanks Khanh Le,
I know how to change the menu – I was just confused because joomlart templates don’t usually put out menus that look wrong/broken like this one did. You answered my question by saying that the default Moo menu is meant to look like this. I am very surprised that this look was intentional is all.
Cheers
November 9, 2007 at 2:28 pm #232551The problem it’s in IE6. Look at
http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php.
The active button, have a strange efect (the button appear cut) with the mouse is in focus of active button.
I dont know to fix it.
Thanks in advance. -
