September 3, 2015 at 5:02 pm #681554The directories are now writable….there is no effect adding this code.
Edit: I realized the file creation in custom.css is creating the file in places other than I intend. The whole directory structure spills out and I can’t scroll down to get to the real CSS directory.
Is there a trick to getting this file created where it should be?

I cannot understand what you mean exactly , you cannot override T3 features so you should follow instructions as documente in this PAGE
I recommend also to take a look at all the T3 Framework documentation to understand how it works and how to customize template.
Best regards

September 4, 2015 at 1:58 pm #681738My only option is to create the custom.css file through template manager. When I try I cannot select the folder. The display window for selecting a folder lacks a scroll bar. When I zoom out to where it is nearly unreadable I still can’t see enough of the file structure to select the right file to create custom.css in. I’m under the impression I was to create the folder in the ‘css’ folder. If I select the ‘css’ folder and select ‘new file’ then a new window is shown, the windows that I cannot scroll in, and I can’t select the ‘css’ folder to create the file in. If I select nothing the file is created in the root directory in parallel with the ‘css’ folder.
Screen show below is of me looking for the css folder.
What confuses me now is the documentation you’ve given me says templates/t3_blank/css is the place to create the file. I’m not certain if this is a relative reference to the same directory as templates/uber/css.

I installed extplorer component on your server accessed joomla root and uploaded a new custom.css file with my suggested code inside it as you can see now your footer menu is no more showing icons as per your request .

I only applied the change to the custom.css file to remove the icon near the footer menu and not changes to the layout , so restore what you changed.
Best regards
