Site is http://74.54.218.226/~gilmore/
I have top menu which works fine.
When you click Full Service on top menu, it displays the Main Menu on the left side – works fine.
When you click Focus Groups on the top menu, it is supposed to show an exact copy of the Main Menu (which I have duplicated and called Main Menu Right) on the right side of the page instead of the left. This is to visually make the Full Service and Focus Groups sections appear different.
However, when you click on the Focus Gorups on the top menu, the main menu right appears collapsed, no expanded. It should look exactly the same as the one on the left when you click Full Service from the top menu.
Hope I explained my problem well enought.
Not sure why it isn’t working properly. Any thoughts?

September 18, 2008 at 9:56 pm #271212When you duplicated it did you set the menu parameters correctly so that it collapses?
—->[Module manage] select your menu there and look under parameters
September 18, 2008 at 10:00 pm #271213Thanks for the response.
I checked and all of the parameters are the same for both menus under extensions – Main Menu and Main Right Menu.
Any other ideas?

September 18, 2008 at 10:02 pm #271216if you set it to “Always show sub-menu Items” does it collapse then? Just to test things out.
Did you check all other parameters overthere aswell “other parameters” ?
September 18, 2008 at 10:07 pm #271217OK – I set it to show all submenus, but then limited it to 2 levels. That will get me close enough.
The only other thing I notices is that if you go to the home page at
http://74.54.218.226/~gilmore/and click on “Focus Groups” at the top, you see the right menu I just fixed. However, if you click “HOME” from that right menu, you lose the left navigation on the home page… ?

September 18, 2008 at 10:10 pm #271219your left menu’s home is pointing to:
http://74.54.218.226/~gilmore/
wich is your site’s root.
But your right menu points to:
http://74.54.218.226/~gilmore/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=370wich is only your frontpage article.
thats why you are loosing your navigation

September 18, 2008 at 10:22 pm #271221Ok – that is really helpful!
I noticed for the other links on that menu other than the home page link, i get the same thing (menu disappears)… 🙁
Is there a global setting or something that will send all of the links to the proper place relative to the article it’s linking to?
September 18, 2008 at 11:06 pm #271224Thanks for the great info – I’ve decided to remove that right side menu for the time being until I can test it futher!
Appreciated the feedback!
