Hi,

Can I replace the text “Home” in the main menu with an icon?

Also, can I make one menu item (eg. Shop), a different color? If so how?

Yes, you can do that

Go to Admin template -> click Megamenu button and you can see option fields add class and icon in the menu item, see the screenshot

Hi.

I can ADD an icon to “Home”, but I can not remove the text “Home”. How do I remove the text “Home” and leave ONLY the icon?

Hi Calavaro,

You can try this way

Open templates/ja_hawkstore/css/template.css file

From

.t3-mainnav .navbar .nav > li {
margin-right: 10px;
}

Change to

.t3-mainnav .navbar .nav > li {
margin-right: 10px;
text-indent: -9999em;
}

Hi,

Unfortunately that disappeared all the menu texts, not only Home.

But I did find out the solution. It’s actually so low tech I overlooked it.

Ready for it?

Here it comes…..

Go to the menu “Home” after adding the icon and rename it from “Home” to ” ” (that’s just one press of the spacebar.
Save and exit.
So simple…..

Hi,

No need as the problem was solved.

1. Add icon-home to “Home” in megamenu
2. Go to Menu, and rename Home to ” ” (delete home and press space bar once)
3. Save and exit.
4. Done.
