August 23, 2010 at 6:44 pm #153748Greetings,
Is there a known js issue with Droid, Mega Menu and other plugins?
I am only having success with the slid bar menu which I do not want to use.
When I use Mega Menu, it works initially. Takes me to the selected portfolio page. But when I click on a portfolio (plugin = Simple image gallery pro) then go back to menu to select a new portfolio – the drop down does not work.
If I set the menu type to CSS – the Simple image gallery pro plugin doesn’t work at all???
Any ideas? (I would post the url – but when I have done that in the past…I get a bunch of traffic and registrations that are not relevant to my client’s site). PM if you need to see.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Kindly read through this thread: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=252418&f=470 to check if the solutions can help for the issue resolved: * JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Meanwhile, provide me the link to your site for closer look at the root as well. Thanks

August 25, 2010 at 4:37 pm #353666That is one very long thread, and super confusing to me. This site has been up and running fine for 3 years using a different template. I add Ja Droid template and begin to have these issues and there is some suggestion that the permissions must change, or configuration file is wrong? If so, what exactly does the Ja Droid (all files included) do to existing functioning files? And is that not a correction to be made by JA? Would it not make it much easier on what appears to be an on going and significant problem?
Thank you for your help, I do appreicate any response. But this seems to be an excessive amount of work to be doing just to upgrade to a new template.
Going on two days where my clients site looks awful. I will continue to read the 18 page thread in hopes of finding what ultimately may have been possibly the solution…

August 25, 2010 at 5:06 pm #353669I tried to follow by chmod suggested folders – my admin access crashed….
but the banners are gone from the site.
Hostgator now working on the server errors I caused… Yikes.

August 25, 2010 at 7:16 pm #353673Update – I don’t know what worked to remove the Jfolder issues??? But in the process, I crashed my server. My host does not allow chmod 777. Love Hostgator though! Best tech support ever!
Now…I do still have a very ugly problem with the mega menu. I have a drop down menu that works until you go to a gallery, then go up to the menu bar to click a different portfolio gallery….
So frustrating! It seems this may be some kind of javascript conflict.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

August 26, 2010 at 12:52 am #353685Now this is getting really frustrating. I made some modifications to the site and the error message is back. What is going on here? When I change to another default template the messages go away. This is definately JA Droid issues. Please help!!

This is not a problem with Joomla. If I switch templates (which now would require me to undo all of the configuration I have done for JA Droid)…the errors go away.
I have opened up a tech support ticket it got flagged low priority. This is NOT a low priority for my client. I have provided access to the site, ftp etc. with no response. I have Chmod all to 777 and crashed the server…
Maybe I need to turn off T3 Framework? Will that effect the template? The old templates were so easy and never any problems like this.
