July 6, 2012 at 11:30 am #178853Dear all,
I was busy with translations and then the Module containing the main menu disappeared. I’ve tried re-activating it but I can’t seem to find the relevant module position.
In the module position guide it says to place it in ‘top’ (http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_puresite/?tp=1) but this doesn’t make it appear.
What am I doing wrong?

July 6, 2012 at 12:26 pm #460081Thanks for your swift reply, really appreciate it.
And I am making a multi-language site. Can you give me some steps to follow to “pick the page assignments and tie them to the correct language mene in Template Manager?”
Thanks again

July 6, 2012 at 12:42 pm #460083I am going to assume that you have followed the normal Joomla method to make the site multi language and that you have made a menü for each language and that you have a default home page for each.
(If you haven’t done this then search the net for a video on Joomla multi language and follow it.)
Go to Template Manager and your template. You need to do some things with the profiles and the page assignments.
Make a profile for each language – see here I have made one fro Swiss language and made sure I picked the Swiss menü. You do the same for each language.
Then on the left you assign each page to the language. As you have T3v2 you only need to assign the main language – you don’t have to add every page as it looks on mine…..
Hope that explains it better for you!!

July 6, 2012 at 1:04 pm #460085Thanks for your efforts! Indeed, I followed the normal method and followed the steps “to make the site multi language and that you have made a menü for each language and that you have a default home page for each.” I followed video’s, as you guessed. 🙂
I went to the template manager and made the profiles, as you requested. However, I do not have the option to edit the menu for this profile:
Why is this? I’ll PM you my login information so you can see for yourself.

July 6, 2012 at 1:34 pm #460086Never mind! I had to clone the DEFAULT profile. Thanks for your time and your help, you’ve really been a blessing.

Before I open the mail you sent – if you click on the little green arrow to the right of the menü choice, it should then open up and allow you to pick which menü you want.
Try that first. Always better to do these things and learn than to send out a login, especially as I am nothing to do with JA. 🙂
