December 29, 2012 at 4:16 pm #183510Hi, question about the K2 search and filter module (v1.0.2):
When looking at this page (or any other page on which the K2 search and filter module is loaded):
http://rebo.nl/joomla/index.php/nl/service-support/alles-over-uw-systeemThe menu module on the right side “Waarmee kunnen we u helpen?” is loaded, and it shows the 4 submenu items from the Service and Support menu item.
When you click “ZOEKEN”(search), search results will be displayed, but the content of the menu module is not shown. It does show the title, but the submenu items are gone. It only happens when using the K2 search and filter module. How to fix this?
Example:
Before clicking search it works good:
After clicking search, the submenu items on the right in the menu module are not displayed anymore:
Best regards, Maarten

January 2, 2013 at 8:48 am #478070Hi rsystems,
I think, it does not show menu module because of “Itemid”.
Please send PM to me with admin and ftp account of your site. I will check it for you.

January 14, 2013 at 10:14 am #479623Hi rsystems,
Alter checking your site, it seems that its not the error of k2filter.
When search extrafield, it go to component jak2filter. Modules “Kunnen we u helpen?” or “HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?” – return all sub menu – start menu level 2 – of active menu. So, in the case, it’s return null.
You can try to add default search module of joomla and click search.
In the case, i think you should find and try other modules : http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/menu-systems

January 15, 2013 at 7:53 am #479792Is it possible that the search results would be presented on the same page as the menu item? This way I will not have any problem with the menu module.
Can this be a feature for next update (same as being able to select how the search results are displayed (# of columns, length of intro text etc)?

May 17, 2013 at 7:46 am #493095Dear Rsystems,
By default, our K2 Filter is inheriting K2 generic layout for displaying results.
We greatly appreciate your idea and it will be added to our backlog for furture development.

May 27, 2013 at 4:11 am #494022Hi There,
Please follow the thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/upgraded-to-1-0-4-but-now-cant-choose-by-extra-fields/#post-493974 to get more info about new version release. Now, we have switched Generic layout to Category layout to include many options to display the search results and is also flexible for customizations.
Here is the release announcement >> http://www.joomlart.com/updates/joomla-extensions/k2-filter-version-105-for-joomla-25-31-new-features-improvements-and-major-bug-fix
