If I assign children to a menu item with an external link, the menu item does NOT expand when clicked. However, with menu items linked internally, the menu item expands to show it’s children.

The menu in question is main menu left.

FYI, re-ordering the menu items produces the same problem for menu items with internal links (ie parent does not expand to show child menu items).
