I’d like to be able to use an external URL as the link on some of my slides. However, this doesn’t seem to work with current config.Is there any CSS or something that I can edit to make this work?

JA Slideshow Lite module on JA Mero Template allows to add external URL.

Simply navigate to Admin site -> Module Manager -> JA Slideshow Lite module -> click Edit below each Image to add external URL, as seen in snapshot:
