June 12, 2015 at 4:01 pm #207292Hi everyone,
a couple of my clients signaled that they would like to be able to click the article boxes on the frontpage with the middle mouse button, and have it open a new window. Currently this doesn’t really work, you can only left mouse click and have it the article open in the same window.
I have already turned off popup view as I’m not using that, but I’d still need a fix for the middle mouse thing. Since it’s probably javascript, I can’t fix this on my own.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks a million in advance!

Does that middle mouse button work with links on default Joomla template?

Sure, it does work in articles and everywhere else, the bug only happens with the frontpage boxes that spin around.
You can verify the bug on the frontpage of the template demo yourself on the article blocks that flip around (the two articles under the Facebook module for example). This bug happens with a repro rate of around 4/5.

June 24, 2015 at 10:35 am #575365I use the mouse with middle scroll button but it still works properly. What kind of mouse are you using?

That’s odd, as it doesn’t work for me, and was reported by a number of my users as well.
I think the problem is that the thing <b>only works if you directly click on the title of the article</b> with the middle mouse button after the box has turned around. Can you check and confirm whether you can click the whole box with your middle mouse button to open it up in a new window?
For reference, the whole box is clickable if you use the left mouse button. Please see the image below for further context.

June 29, 2015 at 2:47 am #575743I got your point. The items below the facebook module on your site have ‘Content Animation’ – Rotate. When you hover image, it will rotate and show title + introtext of article and as the default Joomla article, you can click on title only. In this case, you will have to customise JS to have that feature.
I will also report this to dev team for further consideration on this.
