    meiros,

Is it working — as far as the You Tube and Media are concerned? You did not respond back in the other thread that it did. This is critical so that others will know whether the thread is useful for them.

    Hi meiros,

There are Joomla extensions that allow you to transfer files from one Joomla site to another, by whole cateory or section or even entire site. Quite a number of people here have used it. But, I have not personally tried it. So, I cannot recommend one over another application.

I do not know how easy they are to learn before one could be ready to apply them. My suggestion is that if you have just a few dozen articles, it may be faster just to copy and paste. Just be aware that in the future, there are programs that can help you do this. Maybe you can start learning now, so you will be more ready next time.

    Is your old site J 1.5.x or J 1.10.xx?

Based on my Joomla migration experience, i suggest the following :

    1. For just importing sections, categories, content items and or static item. Use “Export Content” http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/hosting-&-servers/data-conversion/4054/details. This works great and very easy to use.
    2. For migrating a complete J.1.10.xx to J 1.5.x first try the Joomla migration component. The guide is given at http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1933/294/
    3. If that doesnot work then one can use “mtwMigrator” http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/3895/details

If you wish for expert comments on migration, Its best to ask in the Joomla Forums. The migration related issues are at http://forum.joomla.org/viewforum.php?f=430
