<blockquote>i want to change the template from ja telin 4 to magz.. website contains around 700 articles.</blockquote>
On the JA Magz template, we do include content types (Video, Image …) to override layout of Joomla article, that is not supported on the JA Teline IV template.
For that reason, there will be a difference of article elements stored in the database on JA Teline IV and JA Magz site. Just wait me some time to ask our template developer to get more accurate confirmation on whether or not you can migrate the content data of JA Teline IV to JA Magz site. Hold on !

November 19, 2013 at 8:53 am #512685First of all changing template for the same joomla site is not migration. Teline IV being a complicated template in itself is also different in concept / layout when compared with JA Mag. So, when you change your template to JA Mag, you will need to follow the userguide to set the same settings to get the JA Mag demo site alike display. IF you are trying to get JA Teline IV layouts in JA Mag, I am afraid its beyond support scope.
Changing template is not migration and support scope covers only the demo alike display, we wont be able to provide support for mix and match.
Regards
Arvind

November 19, 2013 at 11:16 am #512714Hi @drarvindc and @leo Burnetts,
Thanks for your reply.
I believe i wasnt able to clear up my doubt.
Here is the exact situation:I am using JA Teline IV at the moment and i have more than 700 articles on it. The articles are general and use <img> tag to embed the images at the top of the article with JA Thumbnail Disabled. These images get picked in the Category Layout and Featured Layout and get resized.
Now i wish to change my template. For the same i have been doing a lot of testing. I have been facing many issues:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/bugs-in-ja-magz/
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/article-shows-duplicate-images-in-blog-layout/Some of these have been resolved but some are still there.
The point where i am currently stuck is, my site generated 3 articles/day and the development time for transforming the site to JA Magz will be about 20 days (the transformation is done by keeping the JA Magz’s stock layouts in mind and not implementing JA Teline Layouts the give my site a complete JA Magz look). As per this calculation i will be generating about 60 Articles and about 10-15 new registered users. Once the development is over, how do i migrate the new data from JA Teline to JA Magz over this development period (This is what i meant by migration, keeping in mind that the already existing articles and users might get changed as well).
What i believe, is that the layouts are different for JA Magz and Teline IV but, from what i have on Magz is that any image that i s before the “Read More” is automatically treated as the intro image and any image after it as a regular article image. But when i Install Magz on my existing system, every things gets messed up. (for example you may refer to: test.eduvative.in/etr_test_1) and because of the same reason i was thinking to use a JA Magz Quick Start and then develop the site to what i need and then migrate the data from my Taline to the new JA Magz.

The way Teline IV and JA Magz templates treat article images is different and there is almost 2 years of difference between Teline IV and JA Magz, so much have changed in Joomla too over the years. I still do not see how this is a bug. Format your existing articles to match the html markup used in JA Magz and it should work.
Please note, our support scope is limited and questions as yours take lot of time to research and reply, so be patient with the support staff, he is helping you out inspite of this beyond the scope.

November 21, 2013 at 9:14 am #512961Hi dpchap015,
Please follow this thread that our supporter Ninja Lead had already replied you with the suggestions on your content data importing issue.
I will better when you can keep track on Ninja Lead’s replies rather than spreading this issue question on more forum threads, that makes us not easy to find and follow your questions.

November 23, 2013 at 11:02 pm #513284I don’t know.
I’m still waiting too.But I’m sure of one thing. We need a lot of patience to get information about a deadline of JA Teline V !
I think we’ll see it when Joomla 3.5’ll be out….?!dieudonne Frienddieudonne
