Hi, I´m trying to migrate a site (http://www.ucp.br) that is running a joomla 2.5.8 install (I know…) and a JA University 1.0.5 template. I´ve just bought the new version of the template. My initial idea was to upgrade the joomla and then, without leaving the old environment upgrade the template. Well, I just can´t upgrade the joomla. I´m completely stuck in an joomla upgrade error (tried to solve, without a solution).
Is it possible to migrate the content of the old site to a brand new quickstart installation of Joomla 3.x ? If so, what are the steps ? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. BTW, I tried really hard to solve the joomla upgrade issue. I just want to know if a database / image/ menu migration is possible and what are the steps.

If you are a dbadmin and know how to works with database and tables then you can accomplish it without issues , otherwise you should ask for help to someone experienced.

Thank you for the quick response. As I said, tried really hard to upgrade. Thanks for the links, but I´ve already tried them.
I can handle the table migration. I think it would be better than to discover what is happening with the upgrade component in joomla. Any specific order to migrate the tables ?
