This tutorial is a few years old, but the parts involving FTP upload remain valid —> http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-perform-a-quickstart-installation-a-step-by-step-guide-2011/

Hello and thank you for your response. Unfortunately it has not resolved my issue with your Mijoshop theme installation file, mijoshop_theme_decor.v1.0.1.zip. Apparently, even if I upload the file via ftp to my webhost, and attempt to install from directory after extracting the contents in the tmp folder, I still receive the error –

    Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

Apparently, you have not included an XML setup file with your theme package for mijoshop_theme_decor.v1.0.1.zip.

    Can you resolve this error?

    Thank you

    😮

P.S. – I followed the instructions in this video –

Please note, that in this video when they extract the extension installation package, there is a .xml file that facilitates the extension installation process. Your installation package – mijoshop_theme_decor.v1.0.1.zip – does not have this .xml file which is apparently required by joomla to install the mijoshop theme using extension manager. Therefore I am unable to install.

    Hi Kileylove,

The theme decor for mijoshop is added by copying to your site as below:

You can refer to the JA Decor configuration document for more detail: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-decor#mijoshop

    Best regards

Hello and thank you for your response which has brought me closer to successfully implementing the them decor for mijoshop. However, I have reached an impasse with the instruction > “Extract the downloaded Mijoshop style package then add to your site”

the image does show an indication of an action that will assist me with the process, however, this example provided is using apple macintosh osx operating system, which I do not use, I use windows 7. Therefore, I require more information on how to add the style package to my site. Please provide the requisite information on the steps required to add the theme package to my site using Windows 7 64 bit professional.

Thank you for your prompt support,

    Kiley Love

    Hi Kiley Love,

    1. Extract the downloaded Mijoshop style package by winrar or 7zip, etc. You will get this: http://prntscr.com/4lezcq
    2. Copy the extracted folder to your site. http://prntscr.com/4lezo1

If you still face problems, kindly share me your site URL and admin account. I will have a look
