June 26, 2014 at 3:02 pm #199180Hi there,
I’ve got a problem here that is a non-JA issue but I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue or problem and might have some help for me.
So after Joomla I noticed that when I purchase a product and return to the site from paypal that the cart has not emptied. This is bad as the items I sell are one of a kind, so no multiples.
After speaking to mijo support team they found that the problem is caused from Joomla’s SEF (global config one) They are currently investigating the issue further.
I was wondering if anyone has this problem and/or a solution
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help with this 🙂

June 27, 2014 at 5:29 pm #540413Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your trouble with MijoShop but pleased to hear you’ve contacted MijoShop team.
I understand your appeal to the wisdom of the crowd in your search of the solution in JA community but to be brutally honest, as far as a long term is concerned, I personally wouldn’t look for any solution, fix or hack for the bug you are facing except one coming from the horse’s mouse, that is from the MijoStore developers themselves.
Anyone can come out with a quick fix or hack, but will such fix or hack survive your next MijoShop update? How about next Joomla update? Next T3 or “JA Bookstore” update?
However if the fix comes out of the MijoShop developers, then chances are this fix will end up in the next MijoShop version and your store is in clear waters for a long and stable sailing, whatever the updates.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Alex

June 29, 2014 at 12:41 pm #540528Hi Alex,
Yeah I do have a lot of faith in the support here as you guys do know what you’re talking about. My first point of call was of course mijo support but to be brutally honest their support is very poor. They closed my ticket without a solution and I had to reopen and re-explain the entire situation, now it’s been over a week with no signs of any fix whatsoever.
At this point this is the only thing holding me up from putting the shop live and I need to get a temporary fix, or anything setup because waiting on the mijo team and I can envisage that I will be waiting for at least a month. I know this isn’t the best way but at least I can get it working until mijo team sorts something out.
Basically I just need to stop /checkout/success from being SEF, so then the cart will empty and I can get the site live. I don’t suppose anyone knows how to stop a certain url from being SEF with the Joomla core SEF enabled.
Thanks,

June 29, 2014 at 2:21 pm #540533Note to anyone else that faces this issue,
To fix you must buy the mijosef component, install, enable, configure basic settings and all works perfectly 🙂

Hi Alex,
Sorry had to write this reply because that first fix won’t work, Mijosef is terrible and will break your internal link structure, create duplicate urls and write Google penalty worthy meta’s. Do not use Mijosef if you care about rankings 🙂
So after much hair loss, ignored tickets from Mijo and Googling around I had nothing to help me. On the off-chance I disabled the Joomla menu item -mijoshop-checkout then purchased my test item and it works!
So then I thought we must be able to have a checkout menu item enabled, so I changed the alias to “confirm-checkout” and it works! It seems if you set a checkout page with alias named checkout you’ll get this error.
Only problem now is that when you return to the site after checkout all of the modules are showing instead of just the checkout/success notification.

</blockquote>You may want to play with the “Advanced Module Manager” as it allows to exclude display of selected modules for pages with defined URLs.
Hope this helps,

Alex
