    Hey Team … it’s been a whiles…. 🙂

in case you’re curious I’ve actually been quite pleased with the work people have done for me and my company on Joomlancers! Less work for moi!

Well I’ve come into situation… I hired someone to implement the french side of my BAICO.ca site and gave them the baico.dev.dnsnetworks.ca site to implement it on/work with

Anyway… we’ve come to many many hurdles (too long a list with this one!) and this one is the latest problem … if you go to the dev link I just typed … you’ll notice the layout is off (you can compare it to my live site at baico.ca) anyway… I ask the guy I hired to fix it and he replied with :

i finished out my side. But I think your layout developer did not create the layout for english and french properly. Cos I set the modules for the both layouts but no effect. Pls contact your theme developer.

And I replied with … I did the site… did I do it wrong? … so here I am asking my template team for help…

Any thoughts? Your help would be so very much appreciated… you guys are always great!!

    Thanks!

    Hi sebbs,

<blockquote>But I think your layout developer did not create the layout for english and french properly</blockquote>
This is the first time I’ve ever heard about layout for English and French 😀

With the layout for Joomla site, what we care about is that site uses RTL or LTR language, while in this case English and French in the same side.

If you hired that guy to make a new site which looks the same with your original site, his responsibility is getting it done for you. Who knows what he did / customized on your site and now he said contact us? I’m afraid it doesn’t make sense.

If you want to have multilingual site, you can follow this guide from Joomla to know how to create one: http://multilingual.demojoomla.com/multi-lingual-steps-by-steps.html

Basically, what you need to do is create your own content for French and duplicate modules / menus for French. Next, check the configuration of English site and apply for French one.

Or check out the documentation of this JA Bookshop template for more info: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-bookshop

Thanks for the feed back… he just responded this to me:
In your Template the Module Position: “ja-tabs-2” not showing the module “Latest books”. When i set with other position , its showing. Pls check it out and contact your Template support.

As the tabs in our demo site, you should create a custom HTML module and assign it to ‘mass-top‘ position.

In output content of this module, you add the tag of JA Tabs plugin like this:

    {jatabs type="modules" module="ja-tab-2" position="top" mouseType="click" animType="animFade"} {/jatabs}

It then will show modules belongs to ja-tab-2 position.
